so_tough! #6 Posted November 20, 2007 Damn you I was trying to get some male pride in this place!!! The male revolution is upon us!!! Atari developers were geeks in need of girl weren't they? Maria, Colleen, Candy... Maria is an okay name. Candy is cool. Colleen? no, makes me think of colon.
Atarifever #7 Posted November 20, 2007 Colleen? no, makes me think of colon. Try being named Colin. Since "colon" Powell got all famous, everyone pronounces it that way. It's "Call en", but that guy has to make it into part of the digestive tract.
Dauber #8 Posted November 20, 2007 Hey, Amiga makers were the same way, except they claimed to be married. There was Lorraine, Paula, Agnus (and FATTER Agnus!), Denise, and whatever else have you... And no, Amiga does not mean "girlfriend" -- it means "friend who happens to be a girl." IINM, "novia" is Spanish for "girlfriend."

8th lutz #13 Posted December 6, 2007 It came yesterday, The console is smaller than I thought it would be but i love it but does the pause feature work only with certain games The pause button should work on all 7800 games. I doubt if 2600 games would work with the pause button. I didn't recall the 2600 having a pause.

+doctorclu #18 Posted December 28, 2007 STELLAAAA!!!! You know I didn't actually forget Stella, for while Colleen and Candy were named after secretaries I believe, it is a well established fact that Stella was a bike. There was even a picture of the bike that was Stella somewhere at one time. Still looking for those pics of Candy and Colleen. (Colleen since I am a big Atari 800 fan)

You really need the power adapter, but you can use one of these (or its reverse gender equivalent) and a cable TV A/B switch.

I think the pause button works with every 7800 game except IMPOSSIBLE MISSION. It doesn't work normally on 2600 games, however, in theory, you could hold it down to keep most Fox games paused for a length of time. If you have in a toggle switch to bypass the Pause button, the toggle switch will function and TV Type on 2600 games. SOme 2600 titles used the TV Type switch for pause, others used it for additional game options.
