CHessMaster #1 Posted November 22, 2007 (edited) Hello, I had been involved with the Atari Community for many years and have accumulated many Atari items. For the past several years, I haven't had the time to be involved with the community or the hardware, and I cannot afford the storage space for all the stuff I have. With that in mind, I've decided to give all the items away instead of selling them or putting them in the local dump. Here's the deal: If you need an item for your collection or parts to fix your equipment just leave me an e-mail with what you need. I will see if I have it and e-mail you the condition and the price for shipping (rounded up to the nearest dollar). I will ship all items DHL as it's the most convenient for me, you get an e-mail when it's shipped, it comes with a tracking number, and they give me (and you) a good deal. If you get multiple items, you get it all in one package and save on shipping! You can pay using PayPal or send me a money order (PayPal preferred). When I get the money, I will usually ship the next business day. Not making a list of this stuff saves me a lot of time. I pretty much know what I have in my head and can verify it quickly, hence the absence of a list. It also let's me serve the people with a genuine need or want for their Atari collection. Here's an idea of what I have: 8-Bit items: Several working computers (some have mods) A few peripherals (drives, etc., some have mods) Original software Original Docs Several carts (a few rare ones) Lots and lots of parts (chips, boards, motors, MB's, Cases, etc.) some of them in original packaging, many original items, many pulls, not all are guaranteed to work. I'll let you know their condition. 2600 items: Several 2600 consoles (but no carts) ST items: Computer, peripherals and parts Original software and Docs A couple of rare add on items OLD PC Items (had to throw this in too ): OLD motherboards, with and with out CPU's Many older 8 and 16 bit ISA boards (I/O, video, LAN, etc.) PCI Video cards Old memory boards, chips and SIMMS Please let me know what you want, don't be afraid to ask no matter how strange, I just may have it! Be specific on what you need (ex., 600xl and power supply, IC# CO45201B for 810 drive, etc.). You can attach your list on the e-mail if you choose. 1st come first served! If I get rid of a bunch of stuff initially, I MAY make a list of what's left. If it's not gone by Christmas, it's being taken to the dump. :( Please feel free to post this on any other Atari community site if you wish. Please send your requests to: [email protected] Have a Happy Holiday Season! Chris Edited November 22, 2007 by CHessMaster

Red 5 #7 Posted November 29, 2007 Agreed. I am blown away and am assuming he will receive a huge ammount of good karma. In a week where my grandfather passed away and my father in law had emergency surgery, my nephew went to the emergency room and my daughter had an ear infection on the same day, and (as you can imagine) a very long and exhausting Thanksgiving holiday, I came home to find this box. I needed a couple 2600's to (top secret) experiment on. I got three. And one was a beautiful heavy sixer. (minus one very fixable switch) Throw in heavy sixer paddles, heavy sixer joystick and a dustcover and the guy just made my short list of 'greatest guys ever.' Thanks so so much.
