Today at BJ's i spotted rice krispies with viva pinata related pictures on their boxes. I immediately grabbed s box and read "mail in 2 credits and 3 dollars to Kelloggs to receive a free copy of viva pinata".

If you don't believe me the link is here. ;)

I mailed mine earlier today. It said to give them 90 days (at most) to have viva pinata at my doorstep. Has anyone else tried this?

Peace,

Tim

I already have the game, got it as soon as it hit the market. It's an awesome game for sure. Too bad I don't think it did very well. I would have loved to have seen a sequel, but I seriously doubt there will ever be one. (The new Party Animals game isn't really a sequel it's more of an off-shoot)

You can't beat free for sure!

Yeah I've heard great things about Viva Pinata. Apparently there is a Viva Pinata cartoon series which viva party animals is based off of. This game got many awards for it's family play and creativity so I'm assuming it did well if it has a Tv series, toyline at BK (last month), and a spinoff game. Rare has done it again lol.

The only thing is...The cartoon was announced before the first game was even released, is just based on the Viva Pinata characters which were introduced in the first game and from what I remember reading has dismal ratings, or did when it first came out. My guess is MS was hoping for an instant popular franchise and has been pumping $$$ into it trying to make it so, but hasn't succeeded. A second guess is that the new Party Animal game will tank (Play the demo...It's a lame game) and MS will give up on it.

Believe me, I more than anyone hope that the ratings picked up and has a great following. Unfortunately, I don't think it does. The BK "toys" were more than likely to push the new Party Animals game that contains the characters from the first game, but is pretty much an annoying and poorly done mini-game collection. :(

That sucks for the guys at rare... they always make great games that don't sell. :(

So its two boxtops and $3 bucks? Thanks a lot, I belong to BJs and my kids already eat rice crispies, besides I'm always looking for kid friendly 360 titles.

A PC with a controller is about a million times more kid friendly than a 360. Plus there is tons of kids games/educational freeware/shareware, so it's a lot easier on the pocketbook. Give your kids an old Dell (you can literally find them laying around in ritzy neighborhoods) with S-video out and a couple $10 USB controllers and they are set.

Cars

Cars Mater-National

Open Season

Fusion Frenzy 2

Shrek the Third

Simpsons

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Bee Movie

Beautiful Katamari

Lego Star Wars

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja

Avatar: The Burning Earth

Bionicle Heroes

Rayman: Raving Rabbids

Should all be kid friendly (Depending on the kids age)
