Battlezone
On a website I have found "NEVER use a Power Supply and batteries at the same time, you will burn your lynx". Is it a real danger? Why using batteries and adaptor should burn my atari lynx 2? I have used many times an AC adaptor with batteries inside, and my console is still ok. xubidoo
i always thought when u connect an AC adaptor on virtually any device that can use both, the adaptor automatically cuts off the battery supply?

I've never heard that before and I doubt it is true. This would be an extremely poor design (I doubt even Sega would have done that ) and I think it is safe to say that you can use your AC adapter and keep your batteries in the Lynx console. It should, in a sense, "ignore" the batteries that are in the Lynx.
shadow460
The only risk you run on an older device is that the power will cut off momentarily when you plug the adapter into the unit. When the unit switches, the power drops out for a second. Newer devices don't do this.
