It's a good thing I'm not a betting man. I was sure that with the availablity of downloadable Xbox games, BC updates would be dis-continued.

Wow, Nice to see they are still adding titles. (Although I've yet to play an Xbox title in my 360)

Wow.

I'm going to keep saying this is plainly the last one, because they clearly keep intentionally proving me wrong. :)

Shattered Union, there's a game I definitely didn't think would be BC. Too bad I didn't snag Godzilla Save the Earth when I saw it for cheap. My decision to not grab it was entirely based on the fact that the original XBox is permanently retired and the title wasn't on the 360 BC list.

Although Tron still isn't supported, I'm really glad they are still working on adding more and more titles, especially with the DL XB games coming in December.

If the Xbox Originals lineup had games not currently backwards compatible, I could understand why some people thought they'd stop releasing updates. But it doesn't, which is why I'm confused why anyone would be surprised that they did this. It makes sense now more than ever to keep making more titles backwards compatible, since they can now resell select games.

Sucky list for the most part. Only three games on there I even own, and of that the only nice addition is Colin McRae Rally 2005. Looks like they've fixed Tecmo Classic Arcade's problems of not playing at resolutions greater than 480p at least.

I hope they add Rallisport Challenge 2 someday, I'd like to see that game being upscaled and it would perhaps get some of those on my friends list that don't want the Xbox hooked up and cluttering their entertainment centers to play it again.

Makes me glad I kept my old Xbox hooked up.

My reasoning for thinking that BC updating was over, is that MS would have their teams working on releasing Xbox games they can make money on instead of working on BC where they aren't making a dime. They can always incorporate an emulator into downloadable games that aren't already on the BC list.

Concerning the new update, WHERE'S BEYOND GOOD & EVIL? Well somebody has to say it. :D

Sorry I couldn't tell you sooner.

No problem dude

Just keep working on Tron and Star Wars Obi-Wan..kay? ;)

I don’t have any special insight here. The manager of the back compat test team is a friend of mine from the Salt Lake Games’ Links series days. But that team is so secretive, I didn’t know about the update until just a few days ago.

Some of us used to joke that it would be impossible to get 100% back compat, if for no other reason than certain games (like the Guy Game) were pulled from the market and therefore had no possible reason for being on a back-compat update. Shows you what we know…

That said, I have no idea what the future holds for back-compat on the 360. I know some of the very early games used the V1 Xbox analog buttons to do things using “hard” and “soft” presses that cannot be done on the 360’s more traditional controller. But I hink even some of those games are on the back-compat list.

Wow.. Just look at all those worthless sports games. j/k

I do see a few titles on there that I could definitely use. Thanks microsoft. Keep it up. I think your doing a really good service and the downloadable game is a good idea. Just don't be lazy with the bugs, ok? How hard is it to compile a dummy .xbe real quick and use it as a replacement for those "non-working" demo's? Kkkkk?
