birdie3 #1 Posted December 1, 2007 I like the 2600 version myself. Have yet to try the Atari 8 bit version. Which is best?
Vic George 2K3 #2 Posted December 1, 2007 I enjoyed the ColecoVision version, though it's called Root Beer Tapper. BTW, one of my Smurf fanfiction characters is named Tapper after the videogame.
Zwackery #3 Posted December 2, 2007 I'm divided between the arcade and Colecovision versions. I like them both.
CARTRIDGE STEALER #4 Posted December 4, 2007 I enjoyed the ColecoVision version, though it's called Root Beer Tapper. BTW, one of my Smurf fanfiction characters is named Tapper after the videogame. That always fascinated me. when I first saw TAPPER in the arcade after playing Coleco's, I was confused on why it was named differently than the arcade. Vic George 2K3 #5 Posted December 4, 2007 Tapper was supposed to be released in bars and taverns when it came out, but somehow it appeared in the local arcades I frequented in the Springfield and Fall River areas. The release of Root Beer Tapper half a year later was somewhat after-the-fact, according to a midsummer 1984 issue of Electronic Games. The ColecoVision version still has the name Tapper appearing in the opening title screen, despite its game graphics being modeled after Root Beer Tapper. joeybastard #6 Posted December 4, 2007 I like the arcade and the excellent CV port equally.
+Psionic #7 Posted December 4, 2007 I'm divided between the arcade and Colecovision versions. I like them both. I like the arcade and the excellent CV port equally. The Coleco version looks nice, but the choppy animation and slowdown are pretty rough.
