Gabriel #1 Posted December 6, 2007 I've gotten a few comments that other AtariAgers find my reviews entertaining. I like writing them, because I enjoy rambling on about games. I wish there were some more discussion afterwards. I have to admit I felt deflated after spending all that time suffering through Wartech only to get no comments afterwards. Right now there are several games I'm thinking of giving my special treatment. Time Crisis 4 (PS3) = I own this, and am nearly dying to type a big wall of text about it. Geometry Wars Galaxies (Wii) = I've rented this, and feel it definitely deserves some comments because of the thread from not so long ago about it. Soul Calibur Legends (Wii) = I need an excuse to rent it. I'd put Front Mission (DS) on the list, but when I was playing that a while back I came to a point where I hit a menu screen with a wall of small font text and numbers. My eyes glazed over and my brain shut down. I just haven't had the fortitude to get back to it. Or should I just shut the hell up? I could save some keystrokes that way. ManShowBoy #2 Posted December 6, 2007 Time Crisis 4. I own it and love it. I also find the FPS stuff very entertaining.
moycon #3 Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) Soul Calibur Legends (Wii) I'm curious if the gameplay is just as shallow as I predicted. BTW I don't believe I saw the Wartech review, I'll have to check it out. I bought that game for 9.99 but dont really know much about it. Bilnick #4 Posted December 6, 2007 I am interested in Geometry Wars for the Wii. Is it worth six times the price of the original? Can you use a Gamecube or Classic controller?
BydoEmpire #5 Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) Can you use a Gamecube or Classic controller?Yes, you can use the classic controller. Most reviewers said they liked the classic controller better than the wiimote. Not sure about the GC controller. I voted for Time Crisis 4. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of the franchise, but I'd like to hear more about part 4. Edited December 6, 2007 by BydoEmpire
Malc74 #6 Posted December 6, 2007 Well, I already own Geometry Wars Galaxies, and it's my game of the year so far (can't stop playing it), but I'd be interested to read your opinions of it.
MCHufnagel #7 Posted December 6, 2007 I voted for Time Crisis 4, even though I don't have either a Wii or PS3. I have the other Time Crisis games on the PSX and PS2, so I'm interested in the series. I'll probably give in next Christmas and get a PS3 then. So it's good to know what cheaper/older games I can fill out the library with.
Lord Helmet #8 Posted December 6, 2007 I'm interested in GW Galaxies. I really like the XBLA version and I'm interested in what they have done to justify the bigger pricetag.
bdog_147 #9 Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) I would really like to read your thoughts on Time Crisis 4. I am very interested in this game but don't want to plunk down over 100 bucks on it if it isn't really worth it. IGN gave the game a good review, but I would like more opinions from AA members. I would also love to read your thoughts on Geometry wars as I am also interested in that game.... Edited December 6, 2007 by bdog_147
Gabriel #10 Posted December 7, 2007 I'll make the ultimate decision tonight. But since Geometery Wars is in the lead, I did some "research" on it last night.
moycon #11 Posted December 8, 2007 Actually I wouldn't mind seeing a GW review either especially since you've played the Live version. Would be interesting to see your take on the new version in comparison to the original. Be sure and review it playing with all controller options. I heard you CAN play it with the classic controller, but I do not own one and I wouldn't spend an extra $20 on top of $40 to play GW.
Gabriel #12 Posted December 8, 2007 I can't find the close poll option, so I suppose I'll just mention that Geometry Wars Galaxies got 8 votes, Time Crisis 4 got 4 votes, Soul Calibur Legends got 3 votes, and 4 votes were cast for me to shut the hell up. It looks like I'll try to do one about Geometry Wars Galaxies. For those who voted that I should quit doing my game posts, is it anything I can work on improving? Gabriel #13 Posted December 10, 2007 The 8 of you who voted for Geometry Wars Galaxies might want to take a look in the Wii section.
