7800 Xevious cart with dust cover.

Recommended Posts

This is nothing too great, but today i found a loose 7800 XEVIOUS cart with a dust cover, never saw that on the ATARI 7800 carts,or any on any 3rd party carts either, for the 7800.

Some Atari titles had a dust cover similar to Tigervision's 2600 titles. What does yours have, just a non locking spring loaded cover? IIRC, it's found on the early 7800 carts.

lol, I was thinking of the Xonox dust cap when I read the title of this thread.

I havent been collecting too long for the 7800.I'm sure if i bought more games,i would've come across games for the 7800 with the dust cover.Right now i have about 22 games for my system, and this is the first ive seen with the dust cover since buying games.I was pretty surprised when i saw it,lol..i had to look twice to make sure it WAS a 7800 cart!,glad i found it anyway!

Near all the earlier 7800 carts can come like this. I've had all the 84 series games like this with the dust cover.

About how many titles were made with the cover?

My carts were made later in the system's life--none of my 40-50 titles have dust covers at all. I've even got text label PPII carts without the dust cover. I figured they'd go to the picture carts for pack ins later on, but I suppose not.

None of mine do either. My oldest cartridges are from 1987.
