is it "ok" (kind of legal) to burn prototype roms on carts for your own?

and if someone knows who can do that for me at a competitive price?

mmmm, doing it yourself is one thing, but having someone do it for you is another.

 

It's not really legal to do, although it does happen. I guess it depends on a few things. I've got some carts that were made from prototype .bin files. Where available, I've purchased the finished product.

 

I guess if you're looking to play Labyrinth or something, you could still buy the finished product and enjoy both (Actually, isn't that on the Stella Gets a New Brain CD?) If you're looking to something like The Entity, though, there's not much final product (to my knowledge) to be bought.
