blastermaster #1 Posted December 12, 2007 i was wondering if there was any possible way to get pokemon from the original red version to pearl or diamond. I know there must be some way somewhere, and i own at least one pokemon game from each "era" so is the any way anyone can think of to get one all the way from 1998 to 2007 alive? You can only trade Pokemon from the original series (Blue/Red/Yellow) to the Game Boy Color versions (Gold/Silver)...they can't be traded to the later games (the Game Boy Advance and DS versions) as far as I know. Anyway, pretty sure you can't transfer the GBC/N64-era to any of the GBA/GC/DS ones. If you could (which you probably can't), the best bet is by using a link cable between two SPs, but since one of them is going to be in GBC mode, I don't think the systems would even connect as the protocol is probably different/faster on GBA. I'm sure people tried when the GBA games were first released, and I can't find mention of it at gamefaqs.
