kyle #1 Posted December 12, 2007 (edited) Yup it's been a while but I've started to think Atari again. I always go through some down time with atari for a few months when I just don't care about it. But it's been a year or more for me this time. Anyway just in time for Christmas! Yeah the wife just loves that! Now that she has just about got all my Christmas shopping done I'm like did ya get me anything Atari?! PS. If you have a copy of ThunderGround you wanna sell give me a pm! stirrell #2 Posted December 13, 2007 I went through quite a spell where I didn't play any Atari. Probably well over a year and figured... why not sell the stuff? I'm never going to play it. I had a 7800 with about 70 or so games and a Jaguar with the CD Drive and lots of games. Needless to say, here I am regretting the sale a couple years later. This forum has really helped rekindle my interest too. I am going to hopefully be getting some 2600 stuff soon and will be slowly building up a collection again. Mirage #6 Posted December 13, 2007 I'm so bad, I've had a hard time dealing with the thought of possibly getting rid of some duplicate systems... heaven forbid getting rid of the last or only of a system! You never know when you're going to need that backup ColecoVision or O2!

stirrell #8 Posted December 13, 2007 I have learned my lesson now. But it will be an expensive one. Especially if I want to find a Jag CD unit again :-). I also had a Lynx at one point (I had bought an original one at launch). And I had an XEGS computer, an STe and even an Atari Falcon030. Can you tell I was into Atari? Right now, all I have is a Flashback 2 and my wife had an Atari 2600 from her childhood with some games. She didn't have an RF unit but there is an adapter from the Atari Age store on my Christmas list. I would definitely do things differently, that's for sure. And I don't think I got anywhere near what I had paid for everything. I even had a modified Genesis controller for my 7800 (so that both buttons worked). *sigh*
kyle #9 Posted December 13, 2007 I sold most of my rare 7800 stuff about a year or so back but thats all I sold. I knew in time I would get back into atari again.

GasMonkey #11 Posted December 13, 2007 Man, never sell anything... Whenever that feeling of selling one of your Atari's comes to mind. Place it deep down inside and wait for another day. Chances are you will regret selling them. They are worth far more in terms of memories than they are in cash...
