Best 8-bit computer of all time

As a commercial success the C64 remains unbeaten in the 8-Bit homecomputer field.

 

And then, there was a time for some years, that you had to had a C64 to play some games. I can´t give a list, too long ago, but the C64 was a winner.

 

I never owned one; I made do with a 800 XL and I never was able to play through all cracks I got. But I remember days of envy, when a must-game hit the market only for the 64 available.

 

Pure power on a spec sheet doesn´t make a desirable system, for me at least.
