YOK-dfa
Hi, I recently found this cart. Unfortunately i haven't been able to try it but i will as soon as i get my Lynx back Anyone have any idea what kind of cart this is?
Lynxman
I think this is a prototyp cart. There are some Pads to assemble Static Ram, Batterie etc. for saving high scores. I hope someone can give me the schematic of this board. Maybe i can add it to my Flash Cart.
Atariman
The board itself is definately one of the boards that Atari used for their proto/review copies. I have one of these myself, but mine actually says which game and says to return to so-and-so at Atari.
EricDeLee
Nice... what's the story behind this... where did you find it. When can you test it?
YOK-dfa
Nice... what's the story behind this... where did you find it. When can you test it? I bought it from a guy. He said he got it a long time ago when he traded his MSX3 for a box with Lynx stuff. He says the guy he got it from was working in some technical center where they did repairs on Atari Lynx units and that it probably has some diagnostic software on it. I didn't have time to test it, but as soon as i get my Lynx back i will.
Sikor
So, maybe You interested it's: http://atariki.krap.pl/index.php/Atari_256_kB_Game_Cartridge - this is EPROM cartridge project for Atari LYNX made by Pasiu. It is for 256KB, but it is possible to simple exchange it for 512KB.
EricDeLee
You could send it to me... I'll test it for ya!
Nimtene
Given the details you provided, my best blind guess would be a Lynx Diagnostic Cart. But I would love to be proven wrong, and hear that it's really some long lost prototype. Edited December 21, 2007 by Nimtene

EricDeLee
Still curious myself... I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is something different and rare!
Chaos89-dot-com
That is an original atari prototype board. I have six of these. I have several 128K, 256K, 512K, 1Meg-4Meg boards. I got these from an ex-Atari employee.

Isn't it just to add a wire from the next unused addres line of the conector to the highest addres line on the 512KB ROM?

I tumbled over a document about the different wierings for different EPROM charts, and yes, you have to reshuffle all the high order addresses (above and including A8).
