Wishlist Item - does it exist?

Recommended Posts

Ok,

I've got a boatload of ROMs to play all my favorite 2600 games on an emu but what Id really like to play them on my 2600 console. So, whats missing is an easy way to run these ROMS on the original console. Some way of burning an Eprom to a cart -

Am I dreaming that something like this shouldnt be really expensive? A USB cord to brun an eprom with a single game (over and over depending on game wanted) and then plug into 2600?

I prob an dreaming with all the different carts types...........

Sounds like you want a Cuttle Cart. Too bad they are not being produced anymore. I want one too!

Sorry for my ignorance, but would the cuttle cart work away from a PC or did it need to be hooked up to a PC or CD player? Id like something where I can burn and carry and reuse

Thought about that also - but there are more than 255 games out there :)

I have the Worship the Woodgrian CDs, but finding games and lugging around a CD player is a bit of a pain (I dont have alot of space where the 2600 is)

Thats a $500 solution! Then again it will play all my favorite tunes while jamming on Chase the Chuckwagon :)

You could get a Cuttle Cart and an iPod and tape them together.  :)

That's a quote worthy of being your .sig file.

theres the supercharger cart! (That I just blew a 100 odd $'s on fleabay for)

I Probably overpaid, but hell with it, whyen the stock market dives, people drink, then I get a raise :)

Anyway, As I understand it, the supercharger allows for 8k on the 2600, it also stores its games and skreeching audio on tapes.

well, when the cuttle cart did ship, it came with a program that would translate your.bins to a .wav. at that point you can dump the file to the cuttle cart and play it on the 2600 as a supercharger game. I can only guess that the cuttle cart is a home brew version of the supercharger with perhaps a adio recording chip in placed in the works as the tape decks read head, that would be the easy way I think.

in any case, I first intend to put one of them tape deck adaptors ( actually made for portable CD or 8-track players) and plug that into the tape deck, baring that I would just dup to a thirty minute tape ( radio shack, just ask)

can any one clue me into the best method?
