theking21083 #1 Posted December 20, 2007 This is one game that I never gave a chance before. I would put it in and play for a game or 2, every once in awile but I would never give this game a chance. I hear people talking about how awesome it is all of the time but I just didn't want to believe it. Today something different happened when I decided to put it in and play just one or two rounds, I started to enjoy playing the game. Before I knew it my high score jumped from 342 to 1,978. After all this time I finaly understand what all of you Circus Atari fans have been trying to tell me all these years. This game will now eternally be placed at the top of my altime favorite game list.
riffraff #2 Posted December 20, 2007 I also underestimated Circus Atari.. about 30 years ago when we got an Atari for Christmas. One of the games we returned (Casino) and me and my sister wanted had to decide on a new game to replace it. My sister wanted to get Circus Atari and I wanted to get Bowling. Ok so she was right one time.
+Random Terrain #3 Posted December 20, 2007 It's one of my favorite games. I always wished they would make a new version with better graphics and more or different options, kind of like how we had Breakout and then got Super Breakout. Where is my Super Circus Atari? moycon #4 Posted December 20, 2007 A very solid game. I wouldn't call it one of my all time favorites, but it certainly got it's share of play back in the day and by it's share I mean hours and hours of play. I liked to play games of Circus Atari followed by Human Cannonball. Its a combo that's hard to beat.
Starhopper #5 Posted December 20, 2007 As I've stated before on numerous occasions, Circus Atari is Frakking addictive!!! I actually never owned the game until a couple of years back when we got our hands on my wife's old collection of carts. I've been hooked ever since. What the h-e-double-hockeysticks were they thinking of when Jakks Pacific put that game on a joystick controller?
cosmosiss #6 Posted December 20, 2007 Wanting to play this game again on real hardware was the main reason I got back into Atari. I never actually owned it, but a neighbor had it. Once I started playing it, I wouldn't stop for a long time. The sound for a completed row of ballons is also one of the coolest on Atari.

Where is my Super Circus Atari? http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...VERSION_ID=1099 Here ya go... Also Classics converted this into a 5200 file for putting on cart or playing on the multicart. I play this often on my 5200 with a custom paddle controller. Really great. cosmosiss #9 Posted December 20, 2007 How would I get a hold of the 5200 ROM?
joeybastard #10 Posted December 20, 2007 Circus has always been a fav of mine. I'm a sucker for paddle games, I wish they would make some for modern consoles.
Christophero Sly #11 Posted December 20, 2007 (edited) Great game! IMO, it's the best breakout-type game on the VCS. A five-digit score board would have been nice though. Edited December 20, 2007 by Christophero Sly
+Random Terrain #12 Posted December 20, 2007 Here ya go... Wrong Atari. The Atari 2600 is the only one that counts.

BydoEmpire #14 Posted December 20, 2007 (edited) I've always enjoyed Circus Atari. It's just pure, addicting fun. Perhaps I'll play a few rounds tonight - it's been too long! Edited December 20, 2007 by BydoEmpire
MrBeefy #15 Posted December 20, 2007 I to used to pass up Circus Atari until I found a CIB copy for around $5 at a game store and was like why not. That night my younger brother and myself made fun of each other for letting our guys go splat. It was probably one of my better buys in a long time for the Atari IMO. THat's one of the better sports titles on the 2600! To tell you the truth....I haven't played Bowling since the early 80s....I've always just lumped it on the list with all the other lame games that I bought at the time....while missing the good ones.....like Circus Atari. I really don't know why I didn't get it, along with Adventure in the early daze.
