accousticguitar #4 Posted December 25, 2007 Are you looking for an extension cord? I used to have some around here somewhere, but they were several feet long.
FireTiger #5 Posted December 25, 2007 (edited) I'll take the extension cord... for homer's benefit... long is wonderful too... Ya'll know I'm married for the last year and pregnant (2 mths)... Edited December 25, 2007 by FireTiger
accousticguitar #6 Posted December 25, 2007 I just dug them out and they are a good 10 feet long. Probably overkill.

Shawn #10 Posted December 26, 2007 I just dug them out and they are a good 10 feet long. :-o :-o :-o How do you walk around with that. Tied around the waist, silly. Duct tape works best to hide it but electrical tape comes off easier.
CPUWIZ #12 Posted December 26, 2007 OUCH It's all in good fun. Let me know if you don't get an extension cord soon, I got a few.
Richard H. #13 Posted December 26, 2007 I'd have sent you one for free but I don't have any left since going to the cased version. Did your's not come with a cable, or did you lose it or something ?
FireTiger #14 Posted December 26, 2007 I got it as part of a trade its one of the first editions, I guess it didn't come complete... just got VOX games to try it out with and realized it won't allow the headphones to hook up.
Richard H. #15 Posted December 27, 2007 it won't allow the headphones to hook up It will, it has the same on-board amp as the cased version. There's a potentiometer on the board with which you can adjust the volume (using a small screwdriver). The connector is the standard headphone 3.5mm, and each side is wired to the mono source. FireTiger #16 Posted December 27, 2007 (edited) Hummm, seems I mistyped. Then let me rephrase, it won't allow me to hook up headphones while directly connected to the 2nd controller pot as the 7800 is in the way of the headphone jack. THat's what the extension I need is for. Edited December 27, 2007 by FireTiger

Sorry, I understand what you meant now. If you can't find a lead, it can be done with 2 x 9-pin serial gender changers on top of each other, this should give you enough clearance. BTW I supplied only Sega leads with the original AVox, as I found that some extensions didn't have all the pins wired up.
FireTiger #18 Posted December 29, 2007 what extensions in particular?
Richard H. #19 Posted December 30, 2007 what extensions in particular? I got some in a bulk buy of supposedly Sega leads, they didn't have the +5V wired up. Third party extensions I would imagine. This is the correct one.
FireTiger #20 Posted December 30, 2007 SO the Atari extensions won't work? oh no! Can an Atari extension be made to work, and if so who could I get to do that?
FireTiger #21 Posted January 3, 2008 *POKE* Anyone know if the Atari Extensions work? I have a pending deal for a set...
