lucifershalo #1 Posted December 24, 2007 I tried the CC1 with my 7800 and I was surprised that it did work (with Death Trap) it says it is not recommended, because it can damage the console or simply because most of the games are not working properly? also it says that with a 2600, you should a "more powerful" power supply again is it dangerous for the console to use a "normal" power supply? thanks
+Mitch #2 Posted December 24, 2007 It has to do with the "compatibility circuit" that Atari added on many 7800s. Some people have had their Superchargers fried by using them on 7800s with the extra circuit. It's pretty rare, in general it just doesn't work on those 7800s. If it works on your 7800 then you should be fine. The reason the 2600 power supply is mention is because Atari, for a short while, distributed 2600s with a 300mA power supply instead of the standard 500mA one. If your 2600 power supply is 500mA then you are fine. Mitch
