Reproduction Cart Cases

OK, some of you wanted some information regarding the new cart cases which I'm producing. There have been several questions asked so here are the answers.

 

OK, some answers to your questions :-

 

- How many pieces comprise each cartridge?

 

2 pieces with a small screw to hold them together.

 

- Are the label areas the same size as with Atari's carts?

 

Yes! I have ordered quite a few games from you before, so the design we be something similar to games like Go-Fish! etc

 

- Is the cartridge modeled after any existing designs in terms of exterior appearance?

 

Yes it will be modelled exactly like the classic Atari carts i.e. Asteroids, Adventure etc.

 

- What is the process used to make the cartridges and what kind of plastic are they made from?

 

Thats a trade secret!!! The plastic will hopefully be the same as the classic 2600 cases.

 

 

Will it house 2600 and 7800 PCB's ?

 

YES!

 

 

What are the prices?

 

I have yet to get accurate numbers from people that may need some cart cases. If you have any interest in this project then please send a PM to me. In short the more cases that I get produced in a print run the cheaper they become. This is not a ploy to sell more carts, it's harsh reality. icon_sad.gif

 

 

Can I do different colours or designs of cartridge?

 

I can do any design you want, but the more esoteric designs will cost $$$$$ Really obscure and clear cart cases will also cost $$$ but they can be done. Black is the cheapest cart case to produce.

 

 

When do you expect to get the prices?

 

Hopefully in the next 7-14 days.

 

 

How quickly will they ship?

 

Just as soon as I have accurate numbers for the 1st print run.
