elviticus #1 Posted January 3, 2008 Just started playing this one, and kind of assumed it would be terrible based on its rarity and my lack of familiarity with the developer (Adventurevision?) - but I was surprised! This is a fun and very hard shooter. After looking it up on the database here, I see that the programmer also did Laser Gates, which was interesting. On the other hand, he also did Final Approach and Space Cavern so...... varied output to say the least!! I can get down to about 25,000 above wherever I'm heading to, then those fast saucers get me. Anyone else play this much?

Laser Gates was originally developed at VentureVision. It was called 'Inner Space' and was intended as a sequel to Rescue Terra I. The game was incomplete when VentureVision folded but the game was later picked up by Imagic. Oilver put some finishing touches on it and it was released as 'Laser Gates'. Rescue Terra I is fun, but nothing special...Laser Gates had much more going for it. Edited January 3, 2008 by PingvinBlueJeans
iwan-iwanowitsch-goratschin #3 Posted January 3, 2008 Rescue Terra 1 is very challenging and one of the best shooters for the 2600!

Right now, however, I'm enjoying the exploration (what's coming next?) since I can't get all that far in Terra.
