What other game than Vanguard have a continue option? I find that a really cool option!!

Millipede does, to an extent. You can start at the skill level corresponding to your best score since you put in the cartridge, in multiples of 30,000 points.

And Secret Quest as well, but you have to write down the code from your last game. I believe this is the only 2600 title that supports passwords.

 

Turmoil literally advances the Game Variation every time you beat a level. If you've gotten obliterated on level 5, for instance, you can "continue" on the same level, albeit with a reset scoreboard, just by starting on Game 5 next time.

Survival Island also uses passwords.

 

I think Vanguard was the first (Atari) cart to have a continue feature. I remember that being very cool at the time...

Fatal Run also has a password feature. I still wish Solaris did.

Nice, I didn't know about those games. I don't know why the programmers didn't add that option more often in the games, I mean, it's cool to continue a game

Super Cobra also allows you to continue at the same level. Hmm, I can't think of any others that haven't been mentioned yet...

Would P2 count as when you bite the dust, you continue from the last red cross you passed, not the start
