PacManPlus #1 Posted January 7, 2008 (edited) There was a game I played in the early-to-mid 80s that was in a sit-down cab. It was (sort-of) a racing game on roads that seemed to be in space (against a black backround; nothing visible holding them up). You did see (I think) planets / stars / etc in the background. The 'roads' could do a 90 degree angle straight up (for example). The one thing I distinctly remember is 'Sinistar' making an appearance in the background, although I don't think he harmed the player in any way. Does anyone remember the name of this game? Is it emulated at all anywhere? Thanks! Bob EDITED for clarity Edited January 7, 2008 by PacManPlus
keitaro #2 Posted January 7, 2008 Hi, But with top perspective, like Motorace USA, or like Outrun perspective? Anyway, can be this? http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9768 It's from Williams, and I think is not emulated (Laserdisc game)
PacManPlus #3 Posted January 7, 2008 Thanks! I'm pretty sure that's it! Not emulated Damn.
ProperRogue #4 Posted January 7, 2008 I don't really keep up with the laserdisc games , but since this is one , doesn't Daphne emulate those?
PacManPlus #5 Posted January 7, 2008 (edited) Yes, but if I'm not mistaken, you need the original disc (and a specific laserdisc player) to properly emulate it; neither of which I have Edited January 7, 2008 by PacManPlus
