Finally beat Super Mario Galaxy on Christmas. I had reached the final boss over six months ago (!) - but the final level was aggravating, I couldn't figure out how to even damage Bowser at all (GameFaqs later enlightened me) and it was all so annoying and frustrating that I just put it away and moved on. So anyway, I pulled it out again to show my brothers on Christmas and plowed through. Knowing how to beat Bowser made all the difference - not very difficult at all.

Knowing how to beat Bowser made all the difference - not very difficult at all.

 

I'm a bit puzzled though, since the final fight against Bowser was pretty much the same than the other two that happen earlier in the game, "Bowser's Star Reactor - The Fiery Stronghold" and "Bowser's Dark Matter Plant - Darkness on the Horizon". He's just learning some new attack tricks with every confrontation iteration, but the basics remain the same in all three. AFAIR did my wife and me beat him on the first try

It just never occurred to me that you could hit him while he was rolling around.

I beat Super Spy Hunter for the NES it was MFH and I had to beat it with codes not a common thing for me at all
