Wanted: 7800 power cable/adapter/whatever

A couple months ago I found a 7800 at Goodwill that, tragically, had no power cable. This is my first and only 7800, so I have no spare parts with which to make it complete.

 

So, does anyone out there have a spare 7800 power cable? Would you be willing to sell or trade it for less than the eBay prices?

The cheapest thing to do is wire a mono-phono jack (either an in-line or panel mount style) in parallel with the existing power jack. That way you can use a 2600 pws.

I have absolutely no soldering skills whatsoever, is this something that can be done by a rank amateur? Are there more detailed instructions somewhere?

My advice pick up a cheap soldering kit and practice a bit on some junk. Before long you'll be soldering like a pro.
