Sears Speedway II and Breakaway IV

This has always had me pondering....

 

Why is there a Speedway II and a Breakaway IV, when there isn't a Speedway I or a Breakaway I, II, or III?

 

Is there something I'm missing?

There was a Sear's Speedway game that was a dedicated unit so they named the VCS game Speedway II. I'm not as sure on Breakaway IV, but I think its a similar reason.

I wondered if it wasn't something along those lines, but wasn't sure. I couldn't find anything on the net detailing a dedicated console game.

 

As for Breakwaway, I never thought of the IV stading for 4 players. Kind of a dumb title, in my opinion, if that's the truth.

I remember buying Breakaway IV of Ebay back in 2001 only to feel cheated when I plugged it in to find out what it was. Always thought it was a bit off that Sears decieved people into believing that they were buying games different from the Atari releases
