What machine is this?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Haven't posted here in ages. Work, other hobbies, life in general, you know how it goes. I still collect Atari/games in general, though it's usually more "pick it up as I find it" nowadays. Luckily, I've still retained much of the knowledge from my hardcore collecting days.

Anyway, to get to the point, I'm a huge Miami Vice fan, and I and another poster on an MV forum have been trying to identify a certain arcade machine featured in an episode of that series. In the pic below, it's the machine nearest the viewer:

We've identified the other three machines (from the farthest forward: a cabaret Pac-Man, Popeye, and Ms. Pac-Man), but the space themed game closest to the viewer has us stumped. What is that machine? I've searched every big name 'space' game I can think of, but no luck. It's probably something obvious, too.

So, I figured I'd bring this question here. You guys were always the experts anyway.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

How did you identify the cabaret Pac-man!? I would have had no clue on that one.

Look closely at the control panel (or rather, the panel above the coin-slots), you can make out the "Pac-Man chasing the ghosts" art. I actually purchased one of these machines for my brother, and the reason I'm so familiar with that particular bit of art is because it's NOT on the machine I bought!
