Blackjack #1 Posted January 18, 2008 Are there any 2600 games that the CV with adapter aren't compatible with? Are there any problems with using the 2600 adapter? Does anyone make flash carts for the CV? You can use CX Joysticks in the CV, can't you? Would the Krokodile Cart work in the adapter? Thanks.
Pixelboy #2 Posted January 18, 2008 Are there any 2600 games that the CV with adapter aren't compatible with? I think there are a few. Others can answer that one better than me. Are there any problems with using the 2600 adapter? Not really. Just make sure it's properly plugged into the CV's expansion port and you're good to go. I've never had any problems with it myself in the past. Does anyone make flash carts for the CV? Yes. You can use CX Joysticks in the CV, can't you? Absolutely, although the absence of a keypad can complicate things. For selecting skill levels and whatnot, you can plug a regular CV controller in port #2 and use its keypad. Not sure that works for all CV games though. Would the Krokodile Cart work in the adapter? Good question. Anyone else know?
+5-11under #3 Posted January 18, 2008 The Krokodile Cart works with the adapter. 5-11under
8bitgamer #4 Posted January 18, 2008 I like to use a Genesis controller for games like Gorf and Galaxian.

The ColecoVision controllers also have a second button that some games used (There was also the SuperAction Controller, which had four buttons)... If I'm not mistaken, the Booster Grip that was sold with 2600 Omega Race will function as the second button, in case you have one of those. --Zero
Blackjack #6 Posted January 24, 2008 Well, it sounds like I may be putting a CV on the shelf where my 2600 sits then. I really liked the games I played on the system in HSC.
Jess Ragan #7 Posted January 24, 2008 I think Infiltrate won't work on the Expansion Module. Trust me, though, you won't miss it.

Prodos8 #9 Posted January 24, 2008 My main beef with the expansion module #1 (aka 2600 adapter) is that you must unplug it to go back to playing ColecoVision games. I wish they'd have made it to boot CV if there was a CV cart in the slot otherwise run the 2600 adapter. Its a real pain to keep plugging/unplugging that thing. That's exactly why I don't use it and keep a VCS hooked up too.
