Behold! My awesome deal on a Sega CDX!

This thing is just awesome. I can't say enough good things about it. Can't say the same for the seller.

I am kinda pissed off at them, because they only put it in a yellow envelope. No box, to stuffing, nothing to protect it. There's really no excuse for that when I paid the exact same price for shipping as I paid for the item!

He sent me a message saying that shipping cost more than he charged me, but that's his own damn fault. He likely figured out that he sold it for about $60 to $100 less than it usually goes for.

I guess I shouldn't be bitching becase it doesn't appear to be damaged and it does work... The package job he did still irks me, though. I almost want to tell him, "do you have any idea how much this thing is worth?!?" But obviously he doesn't.

I almost left his some grey for the pathetic packaging job, but I didn't. I gave him all low marks though, and explained how awful the packing job was. I kind of regret not doing it now. Oh well. I got an amazing deal.

Rev. Bob, Glad the CDX works... A shame about the rotten packing job....

Sadly, too many sellers couldn't pack an item properly if thier life depended on it :x

I still shudder thinking about my TurboGrafx 16... it was crammed into a box so small that it bulged out the sides... no packing material, nothing. To add insult to injury, my mailman literally threw it on the front porch....

Good price there, I wouldn't mind a CDX for $20. They really are a nifty unit to own and keeps things simple with less wires. I wouldn't have bought it because the auction looks wierd and the item location is in Canada (I'm picky), although they do have a great feedback rating and a local telephone number.

yeah good deal and they are great systems, I got one when I was a kid and used it a lot as a portable CD player when I'd go on family vacations. And if you don't have it already, get Silpheed.

Excellent price, I got mine locally a while back for $20, can't beat it. The CDX may be my favorite console for the size and compatibility, a great way to get your Genesis game on. And yes, it works with the 32x and the Master System converter with a little effort ;)

Here's the posative feedback that I gave the guy (which I now regret):

almost gave you a neg: Packing was AWFUL - Shipped in envelope only. Very, bad

Here's the guy's response:

Dear Sir ,thank you for your feedback, but if you check the shipping label you will see the cost of the shipping was $7.00 more than the item price and the shipping price together even it was my errore and i am more than happy to serve you, thank you so much loved doing business with you,god bless you and away keep you.

Regards,

joe

PS.talking about the sega cd item

I wish I gave him negative feedback just because of the way that he writes!

*Jaw drops* That is an AMAZING price you got that CDX for (of course, you already know that).

I love my CDX - I picked it up awhile back at my local game shop. I think the deal-maker for me was that it had the "official" Sega CDX carrying case and was in pristine condition. This is a far cry from the one I worked on for the place that had previously been a home for a bunch of cockroaches (I get a little gaggy just thinking about what the inside looked and smelled like even after the store cleaned them all out)

Gotta love having everything in that nice little package, though!
