Cool I was searching e-bay for a replacement Jaguar because my old one broke. I ran into this one and figured I would bid on it because it was unique. Does this use a regular Jaguar power supply? I'm not planning on actually using it like a regular console, I just want to test it. Edited January 22, 2008 by nitrosport

IIRC, the only difference between the standard Jag and the developer model is a different BIOS, and that little cable. I think you need to press a button on startup to run standard cartridge with these, don't remember which one.
ovalbugmann #5 Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) it is a stub jaguar used for developing, that cord coming out of it is used to plug into an alpine board for developing games... Yes, the ribbon cable carries signals to the Alpine, for development, not normally present in the cartridge port. I'm not planning on actually using it like a regular console, I just want to test it. Ok, what are you going to do with it? Yes, they use the same power supply. IIRC, the only difference between the standard Jag and the developer model is a different BIOS, and that little cable. I think you need to press a button on startup to run standard cartridge with these, don't remember which one. Not sure, but try holding down the B button and pressing the power button with a cart in. I think there may be a dark green screen with text if you don't press B. Let us know. Edited January 22, 2008 by ovalbugmann
nitrosport #6 Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks for all the help everyone. I'll probably keep it as part of my collection. When I buy a power supply, I will test it and let you guys know how it goes.

WELCOME TO JSII BUDDY!!! Thanks The power button sticks when it's pressed. I took it apart and fixed it. Now I just need a power supply and cords. the unit will work fine as long as nothing is broken as a regular Jag by simply holding the 'B' button with powering on. That allows normal carts to boot. The cable coming out of the back is a stop cable. It allows you to stop the Jaguar dead in its tracks to debug. That is a great deal...now you just need an alpine (that and download the official dev kit off Belboz's site)and you have an official dev kit! Nice haul! I had a fealing it was a dev kit but wasn't 100% sure untill I asked here. I was confused because I figured a dev kit would have some way of connecting to a pc. Now I know it needs the board to be complete thanks to all the people here. Edited January 23, 2008 by nitrosport

I want the rf switches because they are original but for actual use, I'm bidding on a av cable on e-bay. I wish I kept my cords when my old Jaguar died on me. nitrosport #17 Posted February 18, 2008 I finally got around to testing this thing. When I turn it on, it defaults to "Jaguar development system". If I turn it on holding B, the Jaguar opening comes up like normal but then it just goes to a black screen and doesn't boot the game. Any suggestions? The games are working on my regular Jaguar.
