What is "The Space Marine?"

I was looking on the Twin Galaxies website for Jaguar high scores and came across "The Space Marine." What is this game? I don't think it's AvP...

That's my guess: AvP, Predator, Alien, Space Marine. AvP really needs three seperate high score tables for the three scenarios. They really should have an overall AvP high score table with the subsets.

The AvP character is definately a Marine, and he is in space, but I don't recall if the AvP story line or manual actually call them "space marines." Or if the Alien, Predator or AvP movies call them (where relevant) space marines or not.

 

And I'd think for any high scores having to do with Doom would be labeled "Doom," not "Space marine." So I lean toward AvP marine for the high score table, especially since there are three scenarios to cover high scores for on AvP.

 

By the way, I like your Sinistar Avater...that is Sinistar isn't it?

The Marine in AVP is a Colonial Marine, while the Marine in the Doom series is a Galactic Space Marine. As for the Twin Galaxies listing, it's just wrong, as there is no Jaguar game with that title. It's probably in reference to AVP though.

Maybe we could tell if it's Doom or AvP by the score, it's a pretty high number. We should see if that high a score is more likely to be gotten with Doom or AvP. Some games don't have their score tally so high.
