Looking for Miner 1049'er

Recommended Posts

Magazine game, so quite likely in BASIC.

I don't think we're missing much by not having it available for DL.

No.

Google scores about 4 hits - Atarimania has it listed but no DL available.

Zong Magazine, April 1992

No idea if this is a printed or disk mag, or if it's available online.

ZONG was a german printed mag that came with disk. Kemal wrote a lot of nice little basic and turbo-basic games. I like his games and his magazine.

It was available in strotmann's (cas) wiki. Don't know when it will available again in his new atariwiki.

Interesting. I never got the idea to look for them on Carsten's wiki. Were there many of them?

Most downloads are missing from Kemals Atari Archiv. Do you know where to find them or have them yourself? I'm particularly after those listed in the Atari 8-bit FAQ as having a trackball mode or supporting a mouse.

Yeah, Kemal was hardcore supporting A8, KE soft had many excellent titles. I even have the one issue of Zong in English.

One of his games, Gulp, was a listing in German magazine TeleMatch, took me the WHOLE bloody night to type it into my XE, which was brand new (1 day old), and I had no peripherals yet. Of course it didn't work :-(

Well,

afaik the ZONG magazine lasted from 1989 to 1996... at some point the magazines arrived monthly and at some point bi-monthly... Here are two years of ZONG magazines... -Andreas Koch.

Now,

a few months before the ZONG magazines ended, Kemal released some PD diskettes, called the ZONG classics. These disks contained (or should contain) not only old stuff, but also unreleased programs... I am quite unsure what he meant with unreleased, but anyway - here are the ZONG classics... So now you have the complete ZONG magazines available for download... (at least I hope so) -Andreas Koch.

Well,

I have almost no Telematch software (except Olympia with nice graphics but terrible controls that make the game unplayable). My collected software of the CPU magazine (also by Tronic Verlag) is extremely incomplete... But thanks to Mr. Bacardi and a few others I have most of the Homecomputer and Computronic magazine software in my collection (its still incomplete, but always growing). A lot of the Computronic and Homecomputer programs were Basic type-in listings or hybrid listings (Basic loader + ML file). Thanks to Homesoft a lot of these programs are available as single-file ML versions now...

If you want the Computronic and Homecomputer magazine software sorted for every issue, you have to download it from Mr. Bacardi`s Tronic pages... since there were only a few programs every issue I have decided to sort it by year... anyway, here is what I have so far (as already noted: incomplete)... -Andreas Koch.

But,

maybe someone can help me to complete my magazine-software collection. I am currently searching for the following magazine software:

- Telematch and Computer Praxis

- HC-Homecomputer (Vogel-Verlag!)

- HCA - Home-Computer-Aktiv

And last not least, since Ulf Petersen declared his programs and magazine to PD or Freeware, I am also searching for the

- User-Magazine (disk-magazine; I never had it, also no-one of my friends had it)...

greetings, Andreas Koch.

P.S.: Let me know if you are searching for other magazine software. I have almost one CD full of magazines and magazine software... but, please keep in mind: I will not upload any Abbuc magazines here !!

does anybody know if there are scans or PDFs available of some of the 80s mags f.e. esp. the ones from tronic verlag?

I got 2 of my games published which i have written on VIC-20 unexpanded... (some rocket man game where you have to pick up flying dynamites and avoid to hit mines while flying and some car racing game). as far as i remember I got 120 DM for 1 page printed and the games were 2 pages listings... so not bad for a 16 year old... ;)

these are my lost children which i can not find for years...

Do you have heard of the ABBUC Scan Project? Project leader is Bodo Jürss. They have already scanned thousands of mags. You can contact him (ABBUC username: bodoj).
