x-arcade Joystick Help!

Hi I just got the x-arcade. I am on a mac with osx leopard. I have Mame OS X. I get the games going and the x-arcade buttons seem to work fine. I can put the coin in "5". and I can start the game using the x-arcade. But I have been unable to get joystick 1 to function at all.

 

In the manual it says make sure "num lock" is ON. Well, for one thing my keyboard doesn't even have a num lock button. I tried Caps Lock but that didn't do anything.

 

How can I get the joystick to function? Help!

If it doesn't have a num. lock, you will probably have to map the joystick to the arrow keys.

 

up on the joystick = up arrow, etc.

 

If not, you can customize the controls for each game individually or globally (I think).

Yes. I went to game input by hitting tab. Then i was able to set the joystick direction. The games were working fine, the joystick works now. but i am having another issue now.

 

after i am playing the game for about 30 seconds, the game freezes. What can I do about this?
