Looking for Ninja based games

Hiya

 

I am looking for some good ninja themed games to play. Mainly console games from the old 2600 up through the 16bit systems, also MAME based games would be ok. I've just been playing Ninja Golf on the 7800 and somehow have a need to play ninja games

 

Also, having an unhealthy liking towards the cut and paste Hong Kong ninja movies from the '80s doesn't help matters. Damn you Godfrey Ho!

Demon Sword, it's pretty much a clone of Legend of Kage. That, or Legend of Kage is a clone of Demon Sword. I'm pretty sure LoK came 1st.

Chuck Norris Superkicks for the VCS. After all, it has CHUCK NORRIS. After all, outer space exists because it's afraid to be on the same planet as Chuck Norris, and space is black, and Ninjas wear black. Therefore, Chuck Norris = Ninja.

 

My logic is inescapable, AND I made a Chuck Norris joke. Submit. All your base are belong to us now.

 

Actually, check out Origin's Windwalker (PC/Apple/C64 etc). Awesome japanese themed RPG with budokan styled combat sequences, and it uses the I Ching as copy protection. Great for it's time!

Best Ninja games:

 

The Shinobi trilogy for the Sega Genesis.. "Revenge Of Shinobi", "Shadow Dancer" and "Shinobi III". You'll have a few weeks of fun completing all of these.

 

"Ninja Gaiden" for NES. Good luck ever completing this one. The later stages are near impossible, even with infinite continues. Still an extremely entertaining game.

 

"Ninja Gaiden" for XBOX. An immersive adventure with tight controls and beautiful graphics. A worthy follow up to the NES games. The high degree of difficulty finally made me give up at around the 12th level.

 

 

Arcade "Shinobi" (MAME)... Not quite as good as "Revenge Of Shinobi" and "Shinobi III" but classic.

 

A lot of people really like "Tenchu" for PSX. I never tried it.

The old "Bruce Lee" for the C=64 is a must-see classic; you get to play the titular hero against ninjas and a Sumo...

I think you mean to say for every system BUT the 7800...
