dr. kwack #1 Posted February 9, 2008 Greetings. About a year ago I posted a question concerning dumping Adam games to CV carts. I'm back and have succumbed to the fact that Dragon's Lair is pretty much out. However... Is it possible to put 2010 the Text Game to cart? I'ts my understanding the game ran on Adam's Function keys, so could that be translated to the CV controller? Also, anyone out there know where I can secure a copy of Super Donkey Kong and Super DK Jr on cart? Thanks!
Inky #2 Posted February 9, 2008 Dont think that the 2010 text adventure could be translated to the CV, just due to the sheer size of the game. And for those who have solved it, it has the single most impressive graphic ever created for the ADAM as a reward.
Zwackery #3 Posted March 11, 2008 In what way(s) is the Text Adventure (for Adam) different from the Graphic Action Game (for Colecovision)?
Pixelboy #4 Posted March 11, 2008 In what way(s) is the Text Adventure (for Adam) different from the Graphic Action Game (for Colecovision)? One is a text adventure. The other is a graphic action game.

The other is a graphic action game. Thank you, Captain Obvious. Now would you go back to your insta-collection and let someone who could actually tell me if there is a difference in gameplay respond? Now seriously - check here for some info and screen shots of the text adventure. The graphical adventure is briefly reviewed here.

+Psionic #9 Posted March 11, 2008 (edited) Pixelboy, My guess is that Zwackery was asking about gameplay differences related to plot and such (is it the same game? a sequel?) and not differences in the gameplay mechanics (which are quite obvious). doubledown #10 Posted March 11, 2008 Also, anyone out there know where I can secure a copy of Super Donkey Kong and Super DK Jr on cart? I sell copies of these repo games through my site. Here's a link with info: http://www.geocities.com/double_down_on_11...lecoVision.html Technically they're not the same as they aren't complete. Donkey Kong doesn't have all of the intermissions and the 4th screen, while present isn't done. Donkey Kong Junior, technically isn't complete either as the intermissions aren't all there and the "Sparks" screen's converyers don't work. But due to cartridge size limitations I believe that is all that is possible on a cartridge unless some daring programmer can compress the code a bit to free up some space. Okay, I was a little out of line there, but you did set yourself up for it. Anyhow, others have already answered your question perfectly.
