What is it?

Recommended Posts

I have a cart that is about 3/4 the size of a regular with just a small end label that says 'chopper command'. The board inside has no cover on the chip and is labeled 'copper command'. When looking at the back of the board it is definetly hand soldered. I opened up a stampede to compare the two. When the game is turned on instead of the Activision at the bottom is a box with an S in it. Is this something someone threw together? Is it a cart from Brazil or something missing a label?

Judging by the look of the PCB and the flux residue on the solder side, my money is 100% on Brazillian.

Any idea what the 'S' is for?

Well, has anyone seen one of these short carts before? They were obviously manufactured by someone. I'm really just curious where this goes in my collection, I know it's not valuable, but it is odd to me.

OT- This forum is so bad*ass! I love how you guys rip apart carts and look inside and stuff. I cannot wait to read more threads and see more pix...
