Ruiner Pinball!

 

I remember seeing it in a magazine when Jag first came out, won it in the box for 14 bucks.

 

Thoughts on the game? Good/bad?

Never played it. Heard mixed bag of feelings about it over the years from peeps online. Some love it, some hate it.

I remember liking it, but I haven't owned it for a while now. Pinball fantasies is imho a better pinball game for the Jag. The Stones and Bones table is great.

Just got this game too. I liked it. I think I liked the Defcon 4/5 one over the hell environment.

It's very cool, you'll like it! Pinball fantasies is good too, and since Ruiner is video pinball and Fantasies is a simulation both are must-haves if you like pinball!

Speaking of pinball, one of the Jaguar high score club games right now is Pinball Fantasies.

 

Both have their fun moments. I think I enjoy them till I'm reminded that 15% of the time there is nothing I can do... the ball is going down the hole.

 

That kinda annoys me, but the other 85% of the time it's a blast.

That's funny!....... But it's not funny to have to pay more than you should for a Jag item because of this F***er! I really hate that guy. He only buys Jag stuff to flip it on ebay and double the price he paid. He will stop bidding on an item once it gets too high to make a profit on it with a resale.

I enjoyed Ruiner Pinball a good bit. It is a bit creative with the spanning tables.

 

That reminds me... Pinball Fantasies is one of the last retail games I still need to add to my game library.

Well, I finally was able to win something under his nose.

 

Finally got me a copy of Zero 5, and brand new and sealed at that, for a little over $50 including S&H. And it was one of those "giving works" charity items.

 

This after shittystuff4morethananyoneiswilling2pay stiffed my very reasonable offer of $60 for one of his overpriced not new copies (a-hole priced it at $100...insane). Oh, and after he drove the bidding up of another seller's copy to over $70 (I stopped bidding after it hit $50).

 

Anyway, got the game I always wanted to try on the Jag, plus hopefully a little bit of the dough goes to a good cause, and I get to give a symbolic middle finger to that douchebag.

 

All around a feel good day.

BTW, I haven't played either Jag pinball game yet, but I think it's safe to say that at the very least in this one genre of video game our mighty Jaguar has it all over 3DO.

 

I like my 3DO.

 

I like the idea behind Pataank (3D pinball where you are the ball).

 

I really don't like the execution of said idea.

Y'know...now that I think of it...Jag actually has this one genre over N64 too.

 

I don't think there are ANY N64 pinball games. At all.
