(Most of) my (very unorganized) classic game collection

Recommended Posts

Well, I've never actually posted pics of my games in all the time I've been collecting and on Atari Age. This is just my classic stuff (Pre-NES) and it's totally unorganized. I used to be pretty meticulous about cataloging them and organizing, (I use the Cart Commander software...out of date for several years now but I like it better than Excel) but going on two years now I've still bought and played but not really taken care of my collection (coincided with my wifes announcement that out third little tax deduction er, bundle of joy was on his way).

My 2600 carts stand somewhere in the 570-580 range, and with the AA Holiday order, plus a few pending trades here, plus a few games I've bought off ebay I'll be damn close to 600! Most are unboxed....I don't have the room OR the $$ to go boxed. But, I am proud to say that other than the Sears titles, and many of the German titles I have no dupes. All my carts are unique.

The 5200 is my only "complete" collection. Again, unboxed but I have every original release, plus many of the homebrews and hacks.

I also have another dozen Coleco games in a bag somewhere...

My goal is to get everything back to a somewhat organized state before I hit the 600 mark with the 2600 games. But doubt that'll happen anytime soon. :|

Sorry about using photobucket and the large pics. I couldn't get AA to accept any uploads. :(

Awesome collection Jetset!!!!

You have a good point about collecting unboxed. I went CIB a few years ago and quickly ran out of space (but that hasn't stopped me  ).

Congrats dude.

Nice to see a healthy PAL contingent!

Actually it's not just the obvious ones that are PAL either. Some of the rares are PAL so that I was able to afford them just so I could have a chance to play the games. I'm considering storing those completely seperate.

Once I made it into the 400's I decided to start getting PAL games so I could some unique stuff without paying $100+ for a single cart.

Nice, jetset. I always enjoy looking at other people's game rooms. I'm thinking of getting a bunch of those storage units to condense my carts into like you've done. I need to free up space for my new arcade machines.

Oh, and please mail me you 5200 meteorites by next day mail :D

I love how so many people have handmade top labels for their 5200 cartridges. I remember acquiring a few 5200 games that

labels written in a child's printing. Seems everyone but Atari thought that a top end label was a good idea...

I feel your pain. My collection got sacrificed for a room that is not even used, so it's all sitting in a closet feeling lonely.
