Inky #1 Posted February 23, 2008 I was just playing Spacemaster X-7 in Stella, and it occured to me that the game is similar to Star Castle. The only main difference I see is that the shield around the center enemy keeps growing outward, and has a couple holes in it already. How hard would it be to hack 2more walls into it, and to make them behave like the walls in Star Castle?
shadow460 #2 Posted February 23, 2008 Intersting though, as Yars' Revenge was originally supposed to become the home port of Star Castle. IMO, Yars' Revenge has more in common with Star Castle than Spacemaster X-7 does.

Big Player #6 Posted February 24, 2008 If you don't follow the blogs here at AA, TROGDOR is working on a Star Castle port for the 2600. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...;showentry=4531
Lord Thag #7 Posted February 25, 2008 Always liked Spacemaster. I can see what you were thinking, the way it uses the missile graphics for the force shield. I've no idea how you could keep track of all those scrolling, individual shield segments though. Hopefully this homebrew does the original justice. I always liked the arcade.
