Rev. Rob #1 Posted February 23, 2008 Link: http://www.gp2xstore.com/category_s/51.htm Pic: It does appear to be a real console. It takes cartridges and everything. It's advertised as "it also supports up to 300 types of 8 or 16bit licenses games by inserting the particular cartridge." Those licenses must be from Chinese flash programmers. Even with as much as Sega has been whoring themselves out lately, I am not surprised that not a single Genesis or Master System game is one of their touted "licensed" titles. There are, however, several game packs, including a 10in1 pack of 16-bit games, and four 25in1 volumes of 8-bit games. The 16-bit games seem to be the most popular ones that they could afford licenses for - that ought to leave consumers with a smile! With hits like "Yummy" and "Win or Lose" for their 16-bit pack, OneStation is on the right track. Oh, and who could forget the classic, "Get the Meet"? That game was awesome. The 8-bit lineup is just as impressive, incorporating nostalgic classics that we all know and love. Some that stand out are "Grass Cutter," "Paint Master," "Fancy Match," "Awake Baby," and "Fish Quiz." Surely, there is no doubt that OneStation is the only station for fun in the entire freaking universe.
Lord Thag #2 Posted February 24, 2008 I have one of these. They are interesting. The unit is actually nothing more than a screen and some buttons. All of the 'guts' are actually inside the carts, which are generally genesis or nes multicarts with a genesis/nes on-a-chip setup. They are *quite* fun. The 75-in-1 nes cart has everything you could ever want to play, including some japanese only arcade ports like Galaxian Twin Bee, and Mappy. The screen quality is great, as is the battery life. If you want to play the geny games, you need the adaptor. Very good battery life too. I can highly recommend these. Cheap, portable goodness!

mimo #4 Posted February 24, 2008 They are ok for a quick retro fix, but non of the games are great imo, and unfortunately mine got a fault with the screen flashing/jumping after about 6 months. if you buy it from here you get a 99-in-1 game cart included The replacement is out now, and looks to be better designed (and cheaper) http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3606
panamajoe #5 Posted February 24, 2008 i can highly recommend the Kensington OneStation Elite! Pretty good build quality, excellent TV out, great screen and the 99in1 cards that Dealextreme offers have many great NES games on them... the card that comes with the console is some generic crap though... can´t go wrong for 28,50$ including shipping
majinbuu #6 Posted February 27, 2008 Fish quiz is a good game, but it can be bloody frustrating at times There are plenty of games out there for the system, some pirate NES/16 bit and some originals from Jungle Soft. One question though, with the new One Station elite, are the elite carts compatible with the original One Station? I wonder if there are enough owners out there to justify a One Station high score comp. Some of the originals from Jungle Soft could be quite competitive, eg Elfland, Challenge 100, Mr Onion etc... This is a good question. I'd love to get a 99 in one cart, but with the elite, and knowing that it is compatible. If not then I'll just get the original one with the 99 in 1 cart. After all, I'm not going to use it much.
madhatter667 #8 Posted April 27, 2008 Just nabbed an Elite myself. There are carts on Dealextreme that are 99-in-1 and marked for the Elite. So, I snagged a couple of them too (so what if there is overlap, at $4...I'll live). Can't wait to get it now....sure it may be a pirate rig, but it just seems too neat to pass up...
