PS2 now $99 at Target

Target has the PS2 advertised for $99 now.

Is that down from $129? I haven't been following too closely, waiting for it to get to $49 before I'd pick up a new one. I do have a few games for the PS2 ready to go.

I was at Target today and they had the PS2 in black and a silver or platinum type color which I didn't even know was out. I was tempted because my daughter keeps taking the PS2 from the family room to her room for Guitar Hero.

 

My son recently broke the hinge on his DS so I sold it on ebay and gave him mine....damn kids are taking everything!

 

I think the PS2 is normally $130 but I'm not sure.

Over here I've seen PS2s selling out for $85 australian, which I believe is... $70 US?

Whatever it is, it's cheap. Problem is, I can't find anyone willing to buy my old PS1...

This is really funny actually my buddy sends me a text the other day as I'm walking out of the resturant with my gf telling me his gf just bought him a ps2 and Madden 08, now I need to ask his gf if she bought it at Target.

 

by the way not trying to plug Target here, but that store is awesome just for household items at a decent price, it's like an all purpose store that doesn't leave you feeling all dirty inside unlike some other mega huge insane store that seems to be located in every nook and cranny that I'll keep nameless, lol

Maybe it's time to get a small PS2 to set up near my wife's TV.

 

And yes, Target is a lot more pleasant to shop in that Wal*Mart is.

I agree with the Target theory but K-Mart is the worst, it's like Resident Evil on XANAX in there.

The local K-Mart requires you press a button to get any assistance in Electronics. Then you have to wait for someone to be paged two or three times. At least they don't give the impression that they will offer any kind of customer service.

My HDTV shopping experience was horrid everywhere so I think it's more a sign of the times than the store.

When the drop the price down to $50 or so I'll probably get one. Until then.......
