Average Score On Mario Brothers?

What is the average players score for mario brothers for the 2600

the HSC forum has to many pages to flip through and im lazy lol

I just got over 60,000 unsure if thats good or not

You'll notice that there were plenty of scores well over 100K.

I'd be pretty happy with that score. Having hit that mark you should be able to push your way over 100K within a few more games or so. Keep playing. Mario Bros. is a great game! Watch those fireballs!

those blue things killed me ( i don't know proper names sadly)

it spawnd me ontop of them and then i pressed button accidently and died last time like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

the fireballs are only annoying after quite few levels cuz they get faster

remember you are invincible forever as long as you are on the respawn platform, so wait wait wait until the right moment to dismount.

 

Yeah, the fireballs become about the only thing that will screw you up later on in the game. The rest is repetition and avoiding the crabs (in all walks of life...)

Why was Mario Bros. made by Atari while DK and DK Jr. were made by Coleco? I'm glad Atari made Mario Bros., though, because if Coleco had made it, it would have been virtually broken. I can't get past 100K, though, because of those stupid super fast fireballs. Where's the sonic boom sfx?
