accousticguitar #2 Posted February 29, 2008 It doesn't look good for Nintendo. Atari may win yet.
Albert #3 Posted February 29, 2008 Great article, thanks for posting that. I'll have to put that up on the front page of AtariAge as news (along with several others that have piled up over the last month).. ..Al
8th lutz #4 Posted February 29, 2008 (edited) The article was not to date on the celcovsion homebrew arcade ports. Road Fighter is released on the celcovision now. It was an arcade port. Yie Ar Kung-Fu is another homebrew aracade port the system. Sky Jaguar is another one. Space invader collection is another arcade conversion. It seemed like they forgot about opcode games as a homebrew developer. I feel the article well well done and the writer did a very good job of research for the most part. +SpiceWare #5 Posted February 29, 2008 There's a place for comments, why not use it and mention the coleco ports that they missed?
Shaggy the Atarian #6 Posted March 1, 2008 Thanks for the comments guys, I wrote that article. I spent several hours scouring the forums here on AA to gather all of that info. If anyone does have some information on SMS and NES arcade homebrews it would be appreciated as I have had a difficult time coming across some real info on those. And I'll update the article to reflect those extra Colecovision games.
purenergy #7 Posted March 1, 2008 Very nice. It's great to see an excellent article like that showing some of the great games available for classic consoles.

Shaggy the Atarian #9 Posted March 1, 2008 (edited) Thanks! The site gets a lot of traffic from people that love new arcades (as well as old) so I thought that I would help bring some attention to the classics and hopefully get a few people that have fond memories of a classic console to dig out their system from the closet and maybe check into these great homebrews. OK I have just finished updating the article to include Opcodes CV games. Again if there is anything else I missed, LMK so I can update it. Thomas Jentzsch #15 Posted March 1, 2008 Those aren't arcade ports. Well, SF is sort of, but not by the same name. Ah, missed that part. Though, Thrust shouldn't be on the list then. Even though it is somewhat related to Gravitar.

Shaggy the Atarian #17 Posted March 1, 2008 Hehe, I didn't know that Starfire was an arcade title either - I wondered if it was but didn't check KLOV. I'll have to update it. I figured that Thrust was close enough to Gravitar to merit being on the list, I can't imagine Gravitar being done better on the 2600 than Thrust IMO.
