Dumb Question but... Commodore 64, How I Hook up?

Alright i recieved a cord in mail that hooks the back of my C64 to my comodore 1902 monitor.

I only currently own a vic 20 power adaptor and i am unable to know if they are compatible with each other or not.

 

I was told they were but i want to double check..

i own 2 i got one for free. so i hookedup one of them plugged it in the power light comes on, im like good to go so far and then plug the RCA jacks into the monitor...

The monitor recieves no image... so i tried in on all the tvs around the house and i got the same result Nothing happening...

Am i hooking something up wrong?

A C64 power supply will work on the later Vic20 models. IIRC a Vic20 power supply doesn't have enough juice to power a C64.

that is exactly why i was so excited when i foundout I could get them through friends and family for free. I have piles of software, a disk drive, 2 systems and lots more

 

 

Once i figure out how to get a power adapter ill be enjoying an amazing PC
