Guess they haven't played Ladybug for the 2600.

Interesting that Pac-Man didn't spawn more memorable games.

 

Hmmm. That didn't come out right.

 

I'm not trying to say that those aren't memorable, of course, but SI, to take one example, spawned Galaga, Galaxian, Xevious, Raiden, R-Type, Gradius, etc. etc., games that are still being ported to new systems.

 

But take that list up there - when was Lady Bug last ported to a new system? Mouse Trap? KC Munchkin? I mean, I've never even heard of 3-Demon or Fantasy Zone: The Maze before and I've barely heard of, and never played, Snake Attack. I doubt that I would say the same about the top-ten list of SI clones.

I personally loved Chomp (I think that's it's actual name) and it's got an interesting life system, when you die, you go to the previous level, so you play the levels you suck at quiet a bit to get by them. And it's got really awesome music, and if I remember right, one of the power pellets, actually let you shoot, rather than eat the ghosts. That games awesome. Maybe I'll dig it out and play it sometime. (PC BTW)
