Fixitguy74 #2 Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) I am tired of hearing about how E.T. was a failure or how it sucked. I personally don't like the game (I like shooters, racers and some sports more), but I don't hate it either and even have it in my collection. E.T. has been talked to death, so please just leave it buried, like that supposed stash of carts in the land fill. Rik #3 Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) That and about 1 third of the 2600 library were rush jobs.It got to the point of just putting out games for profit,no matter how bad they were, cus, most back then bought the games like hot cakes,no matter, lack for better words, crap they were, and management knew this.Look at 2600 Pac-Man,that was atari's #1 seller of all time,IIRC.And yes, this and the landfill topic is getting pretty old.Even E.T sold extremely well,at first, before realising it didnt live up to their high expectations.
