ninermaniac #1 Posted March 7, 2008 Honestly I have never noticed this before because I was so used to seeing the same old picture carts. I have an Air*Sea Battle cart that's dated 1987 with huge bold letters. Did I just miss something or is this something different?
+Psionic #2 Posted March 7, 2008 Did I just miss something or is this something different? You tell me...it sounds like a normal 1987 Atari Corp. cartridge. http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...ERSION_ID=18110
Crazy Climber #3 Posted March 7, 2008 They are uncommon I guess compared to regular ASB carts. I have only had a few of them out of the thousands of carts I've owned.

I've noticed this variation is kinda rare I guess.

I assume you have the odd one on the right (sans "Use with Joystick Controllers")? Edited March 7, 2008 by PingvinBlueJeans

Foxsolo2000 #7 Posted March 7, 2008 Just remember that rare does not always mean valuable Very true but sadly more and more people are getting into this believing that every single variation means the ability to sell at a ludicrous price
brucebidder #8 Posted March 8, 2008 Just remember that rare does not always mean valuable Very true but sadly more and more people are getting into this believing that every single variation means the ability to sell at a ludicrous price I love label variations and when I find a more obscure one I feel like I hit the lottery. But that's because I put high personal value on these. But the other guys are right while they may be rare in general does not mean you will get more than the standard. Of course this does not stop ebay sellers from listing the item as super ultra rare and trying to get a crazy amount for it which then makes 10 other sellers think their standard cart is rare and they up their price and the next thing you know there are 50 Air Sea's listed as 25.00 BIN.... But anyway its a nice find. Enjoy
ninermaniac #9 Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks. I really never noticed this variation until I took it out one day. I'm gonna have to dig through the other stuff and look to see what I got.
