If my favorite console is a ColecoVision, then why...

Recommended Posts

have I so far had the best luck with the 5200 projects?

So far, I've managed to build a digital 5200 controller, and a 5200 paddle controller. For the ColecoVision, I've figured out how to use a switch to make it either a regular or "4-button" controller.

But the greatest accomplishments so far have been with a 5200.

Unless I can build the CV Slow-Fire Module.

Who else here has built hardware for the old systems? If so, what?

So far for the ColecoVision alone I've done:

3 Different Composite Video Mods (good, better, best)

2 Different S-Video Mods (better, best)

Component Video (480i)

VGA (640x480) (still finishing this one)

Analog Audio (dual mono)

Digital Coaxial Audio (S/PDIF) (dual mono)

Digital Optical Audio (Toslink) (dual mono)

"Intro Skip" BIOS

Internal Power Supply

Pause Button (still finishing this one, waiting on parts)

Replacement On/Off & Reset Buttons

NES Pad to CV control pad conversion

Jaguar Pad to CV control pad conversion

Jaguar Pro Pad to CV Super Action control pad conversion (still finishing this one)

Custom control pad (d-pad, 2 independant buttons, 12 button keypad)

Custom Super Action Arcade Stick (still finishing this one)

Once I finish these CV mods I've started I'll start working on the Adam.

Those are very impressive!

I like the Jaguar-to-CV conversion. If I still have that thing lying about, I think I'll try it...
