S1500 #1 Posted March 14, 2008 If I worked at an ad agency, this is probably all I could think of making. lolz
+Psionic #2 Posted March 14, 2008 Pretty cool, although the ad would be more appropriate had they waited and used it for the new Camaro.
FastRobPlus #3 Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) Apparently the car is a Holden Commodore wearing Pontiac badges. I remember when the Pontiac GTO was announced a few years ago it was just a rebadged Holden Monaro. I went to Holden's website to look up data about the Holden Monaro and saw that they had a cool ad called "Game Over" where the Monaro raced in a Grand Turismo style environment. I could be where they got the insparation to do the Pontiac ad. *edit* link didn't work but if you want ot see the Game Over ad it's second form the bottom here Pretty cool, although the ad would be more appropriate had they waited and used it for the new Camaro. I think the G8 and the Camaro are both Holden Commodores. Edited March 14, 2008 by FastRobPlus

+Psionic #5 Posted March 14, 2008 I think the G8 and the Camaro are both Holden Commodores. I guess they should have used the Commodore 64 version of Spy Hunter for the ad then.
fdurso224 #6 Posted March 14, 2008 Hi Guys: Holden is a Australian car division for GM & can make some solid cars. The GTO was fine. Unfortunately, nobody cared for the model. That's why the G8 came in. The current models (besides the G8) G6, G5, Vibe, Solstice, Grand Prix, & Torrent have "sharp" styling & better "specifications" on there models compared to the rivals of the same class! I always felt the Pontiac was a great division of GM. Hopefully, they can resurrect the sporty "Fiero" once more. I rather have Pontiac anyday then a Toyota. (-_^) Anthony.... Reaperman #7 Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) If I recall, one of the older sporty cadillacs (catera?) was also a restyled commodore. That said, this car's a little fat for any self-respecting spy. Maybe it's for the budget-oriented, family man type of spy, as an alternative to his super-secret mini van. I used to think I really loved spy hunter. Music, neat graphics--it had everything. But then I sat down and played it. It just doesn't click with me. I always felt the Pontiac was a great division of GM. Hopefully, they can resurrect the sporty "Fiero" once more. you know they would just lower the lines on the sunfire and ruin any fond memories you ever had of that car... I was really hoping the saturn sky might have gotten its motor in the correct place, but it turned out to be just another solstice. A Fiero GT was my first car. We had fun, but I could never shake the feeling that it was a little heavy. As soon as I financially settle in (it's a bad time to buy housing here) I'm probably going for one of those first gen MR2's--the supercharged one. Either that or a 914, but those are awfully old. 4ever2600 #8 Posted March 15, 2008 Holy SHit... Cmon guys, that's one of the coolest commercials for classic gaming to / modern day stuff I've ever seen!
Jess Ragan #9 Posted March 15, 2008 Damn, that's awesome! It's too bad that the recent Spy Hunter video games weren't this exciting and dynamic!
SRGilbert #10 Posted March 15, 2008 That's right up there with that Tron lightcycle ad from a while back. Too cool.
jboypacman #11 Posted March 15, 2008 Very cool and clever ad.
A.J. Franzman #12 Posted March 15, 2008 It's an awesome ad! I especially like the way they took the original arcade graphics and "3-D-ified" them. But, as an owner of an original Spy Hunter arcade machine, the initial "arcade" scene seems to me to be a bit off in the audio and game action departments. Albert #13 Posted March 15, 2008 I'm not a fan of GM at all, but that really is a great ad. ..Al
