A question about Alternate Reality: The City ST version

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've recently gotten into playing classic ST games on emulators and one of my favorites was Alternate Reality. I had a quick question for those of you who play this game. How do you eat food/drink in a tavern? I can buy the items, but they just sit on my screen with no way to pick them up or eat them. When I leave the tavern, I'm still famished/thirsty. I duplicated this problem on the DOS game version, but interestingly enough on the Atari 8 bit version, food packets and water flasks are placed in my inventory when i leave the tavern (although I still can't figure out how to eat/drink things like cheese and beer). It must be some kind of procedure or command I can't figure out. Any help is appreciated!

i know on the 8 bit version, you just consume them automatically.. i thought it was the same for the ST version..

We need a new version of this game.. sigh. All the hours of WoW I put in, and I still come back to AR

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out by downloading a fresh working copy of the 2.0 ST game image. Now I can consume food and buy packets/flasks in taverns :)

Another question for you folks....Does anyone know what the level requirements are to join guilds in the 16 bit Atari ST version of the City?
