rjchamp3 #1 Posted March 21, 2008 (edited) Here in Las vegas at the TAO resturant I went to see Steve Wiebe play and attempt to regain his Donkey Kong world record he was a nice guy, although he was unsuccessful, Steve is a exceptional Donkey Kong player, I mean that game is really hard and as good I play, I cannot even pass the first stage sometimes but it is a very hard game I also met met up with Walter Day while he was in town it was cool I met alot of very cool people from Microsoft and had some great food. Here are some pics Steve Wiebe did reach the kill screen and scored well over 900,000 points Edited March 21, 2008 by rjchamp3

cvga #7 Posted March 22, 2008 Cool. I saw King of Kong for the first time just a couple of weeks ago. What are those little bottles with the Donkey Kong labels that are sitting on top of the machine?

What are those little bottles with the Donkey Kong labels that are sitting on top of the machine? My guess is that Steve is now competing with Billy Mitchell in the hot sauce business with his DK Sauce Great movie and cool pics, thanks for posting rj. oesii #11 Posted March 23, 2008 http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/03/12/...ll-comes-close/ Here's some more info about the hot sauce. Seems like Billy Mitchell made a special batch for the event.
cvga #12 Posted March 23, 2008 Thanks for the info on the sauce. I hope Weibe regains the donkey kong record although I would like to have one of those bottles of hot sauce!
Goochman #13 Posted March 25, 2008 The 'King of Kong' has about as much truth as farenhiet 911: http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=86 Steve and Billy have a friendly competition going - these thigns tend to be a bit edgy, but the movie editing is ridiculous. Flack #14 Posted March 25, 2008 Wow man, that's pretty cool! A couple of months ago I went to Funspot and got to see the Donkey Kong machine that appeared in King of Kong -- unfortunately, it was screwed up so none of the enemy sprites were showing up. If you think Donkey Kong is hard now, try it with invisible barrels!!
