StanJr #1 Posted March 22, 2008 Read THIS True Believers These two jackanapes at Marvel.com, review Spider-man for the VCS and get all snarky about why it sucks and what they would change. Obviously they know more about Spider-man than Atari, because some of the changes they suggest aren't doable, if they were they would have already been done. Their ignorance aside, it is nice to see Spider-man VCS getting some much needed pub. Oh, and it is pretty obvious they only played about 2 levels since they complain that the buildings don't get any taller nor does the game get any more difficult. Sure the difficulty plateaus at level 8, but there are a number of distinct buildings of varying heights and designs. jackanapes. (nice little nod that the images were borrowed from this very mecca of Atari-information)
oesii #2 Posted March 22, 2008 StanJr, still fighting the good fight I see. I agree with you, bunch of dorks calling the game a stupid Atari 2600 game. I just got done with Spiderman 2 on my Gamecube so I'm looking for my next Spidey game fix.
Big Player #3 Posted March 22, 2008 I love reading the rants of dumb kids. Okay, really I don't. The game is a tough one. It was not until the 2002 Cinciclassic where I got the hang of using the web and I made it to the top of the first building. I was hooked after that. Recycled #4 Posted March 22, 2008 Dummies. I can't stand reading anything about classic games written by anyone who doesn't have any understanding about the subject. Too easy??? Yea, right. I doubt if I've ever made it level 8. I haven't put enough time into it...but I've always found the game somewhat difficult.
StanJr #5 Posted March 22, 2008 In honor of that very article, I am going to put in some of my favorite CD's tonight, and play Spider-man until I roll the score over. If I recall, it takes about 3 hours to do.

tcv #7 Posted March 23, 2008 I remember the day I got this game. I LOVED it. Fun and difficult.
PressureCooker2600 #8 Posted March 24, 2008 I never got the hang of webbing, either. I only got to the top once. So those fools saying it was TOO EASY are full of shit.
Recycled #9 Posted March 24, 2008 I never got the hang of webbing, either. I only got to the top once. So those fools saying it was TOO EASY are full of shit. The thing that irritates me about this game is that it's not really "web fluid" ....it's a time. So really you're racing against the clock and no conserving of webbing helps. You have to grab the bombs.
joeybastard #10 Posted March 24, 2008 VCS Spider-Man is great, I played it all the time as a kid and still fire it up every once in a while.
